Caesars Rewards Diamond Status

Thanks to the Covid Pandemic, travel has been halted and there’s no definitive timeframe in which things will get back to normal but some opportunities have also come like the following opportunities to maximize Caesars Rewards Diamond. Enter status extensions and reduced tier requirements. Status extensions are awesome, especially for Caesars Rewards program because it means you get extra time to enjoy zero resort fees.

This week I discovered one popular way to get Caesars Diamond status was dead and outlined the new ways to get it: GUIDE: Casino Status Matching (Now that Wyndham Match is DEAD!)

Caesars announced a few weeks ago that anyone with Caesar’s Status will keep their status through January 31st 2022- You should be able to re-match to Wyndham Diamond Status before January 30th 2022. However, if you used your celebration dinner credit this year, the $100 credit will only be added to your account if you re qualify for Diamond in 2020. To re qualify for Diamond you’d need to earn 12K Tier Points – this can be done several ways that don’t include a ton of spend or play. A few ideas are included below.

For everything you need to know about status and how to get it, check out the 2020 Caesars Rewards Guide (Plus Earning and Redeeming Tier Credits, Rewards Credits and Benefits) Tier Credits are status credits earned in a calendar year (January 1 through December 31) that are added up to determine a members annual Tier Score which determines the member’s elite status (known as Tier Status within Caesars Rewards). The more Tier Credits you earn, the better status and benefits you’ll get.

Reduced Tier Credit Requirements for Caesars Rewards Diamond Status (2020)

  • Gold: base status for all members
  • Platinum: 4,000 Tier Credits (2020) Normally 5,000 tier credits
  • Diamond: 12,000 Tier Credits (2020) Normally 15,000 tier credits
  • Diamond Plus: 20,000 Tier Credits (2020) Normally 25,000 Tier Credits
  • Diamond Elite: 60,000 Tier Credits (2020) Normally 75,000 Tier Credits
  • Seven Star: 125,000 Tier Credits (2020) Normally 150,000 tier credits

Caesars Rewards Diamond Plus Opportunities

Caesar’s Status is earned based on your activity in the calendar year. If you are using 2020’s reduced earnings requirements you’ll only need to earn 12K points to re-qualify for Diamond and 20K Tier Credits to qualify for Diamond Plus. Diamond Plus Status has some significant benefits over standard Diamond Status (discussed below).

Diamond in a Day Bonus

Caesars Diamond In a Day Bonus
If you earn 5K Tier Credits in a day you’ll receive 10K bonus points. This would put you well over the requirements for basic Diamond Status. If you do get to 15K Tier credits and you can make use of an Atlantis Trip- you should definitely go for the extra 5k to earn Diamond Plus.
  • Spend 1,000 on a hotel stay. (Hotel spend earns 5x Tier Credits per $1)

As you can see, the bonus Tier Credit promo gives you 3k more credits than you would need. This puts you a lot closer to the next Diamond Tier which offers free Laurel Lounge Access for you and a guest, effectively saving 20K Rewards Credits or $20 for each lounge visit. It also offers a much better Atlantis Stay Offer.

Status Match Offer (2020)

New members are able to status match to Caesars Rewards Diamond Status with nearly any second tier casino status including MLife Gold. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has friends that have access to status match opportunities elsewhere. Additionally, matched status should be available to match with Wyndham Diamond Status.

Refer a Friend

Additionally, if you refer a new player to Caesars, you both earn 500 Tier Credits (625 after Diamond in a Day bonus) when they pick up their player’s card. it would be tedious to play out all the scenarios available to each player here but I would urge anyone in this situation to play through the possibilities.

BONUS: WSOP Certain events earn more than 1 Reward Credit per dollar spent on entry fee. $150 for 175 Rewards Credits.

Final Thoughts

The status extensions are great for Caesars Rewards program because it means you get extra time to enjoy zero resort fees but the reduced qualifications are definitely an opportunity for anyone who can make use of the added benefits.

So lets say I have Ceasars Diamond through the Wyndham tier match…
    1) will I receive the same tier match in 2022 without earning tier credits?
    2) How many credits are necessary to reach Diamond plus? Would it be 10k or the full 25K?

1- As long as you still have Wyndham status when your Caesars status expires. (To make sure of this you’ll need to rematch your Caesars Diamond to back to Wyndham status when it expires at the end of the year) for now you seem to be able to do that indefinitely.
2- You’ll still need the full number of credits towards the higher Diamond statuses- would be nice if they started you at Diamond level but they don’t. Does that make sense?
