New IHG Partnership Adds Macau Casino Resorts
Today, IHG announced in a press release that it has partnered with Sands China (known for gaming) to add a few very popular properties in Macau to the Intercontinental Alliance. The release includes details that The Venetian Macao and The Parisian Macao will become InterContinental Alliance Resorts starting today. The Londoner Hotel in Macau will also join when it re-opens in 2020 once renovations are complete (The future Londoner is the current Holiday Inn, Cotai).
In more good news for casino enthusiasts, IHG and The Venetian/Palazzo Resorts in Las Vegas have extended their partnership. All of these partnerships are extended through 2027 for each of the properties mentioned.
IHG Rewards Members can now book redemption nights at all of the InterContinental Alliance Resorts on IHG.com, InterContinental.com, the IHG app and by calling IHG’s global reservation center. But before you jump to book the properties in Macau, check out the number of points required to book a night! Yep, 75,000 IHG points per night, meanwhile the cash rate for the middle of summer is about $215 for Venetian and about $190 for the Parisian.
This is good news for IHG loyalists planning a trip to visit Macau because they can now earn and redeem rewards at some of the most legendary Macau properties. Additionally, most of the IHG options in Macau were the less prestigious brands like Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn so a few luxury properties centrally located can’t be a bad thing.
