Amex Platinum Flight Discounts
Eligible Discounted fares include all booking class tickets with participating carriers on select routes. These fares can be refundable and non-refundable. Remember, Amex Platinum and Business Platinum cardholders earn 5X Membership Rewards points when booking revenue fares through the Amex Travel portal. Through June 30, 2021, Platinum Card® and Business Platinum Card® Members can access lower fares on select routes, for travel through June 30, 2021. Platinum Card Members get 5X Membership Rewards® points for airfare purchases made on their Card. Use Membership Rewards® Pay with Points for all or part of your fare, plus you still get miles from the airline. Business Platinum Card Members get 5X Membership Rewards® points on flights at AmexTravel.com, or 35% Membership Rewards® points back after using points for all or part of an eligible flight.
Amex Offer Airline Savings
These deals are my absolute favorite, because I get all the credit for the spend and if the offers is available on the Amex Platinum, Gold or Green Cards you also get bonus points. Currently there’s a very generous offer for Delta whereby you spend $300 and get $120 back. In the past we’ve seen many valuable offers for airfare including Jetblue, Air France and Qantas.

Insider Fares are exclusive flight discounts available to membership rewards card holders when they book flights through Amex Travel. The entire amount of the purchase must be covered using Membership Rewards points. Insider Fares are only available on select flights and I’ve only ever seen them on American Airlines, Delta and Alaska.
