Transfer Wyndham Points

I get a lot of questions about the relationship between Caesars and Wyndham, especially whether you can transfer your Wyndham Rewards points to Caesars- in short yes. In this post we’ll cover how to make the Wyndham Rewards points transfer and why you might want to combine or transfer your points to or from Caesars Rewards. Since Caesars made changes to its rewards program, they now require Diamond members who don’t earn enough points to pay 1,000 rewards credits to enter Diamond Lounges. Unfortunately if you attained your Caesars Diamond status by status matching from Wyndham Rewards Diamond, you wouldn’t have earned any tier credits or rewards credits so you’ll need to either earn the rewards credits or transfer them in order to access the Diamond lounges. Basically anyone who matched membership tiers from Wyndham Rewards would fall into this category. Additionally, people who have Diamond status from their Founderscard Membership have the same situation.

Of course, not everyone has Wyndham Rewards points either, luckily you can Buy Wyndham Points (here). I actually had to buy 2,000 points in order to meet the 10k point minimum for transfers. Also keep in mind you can only transfer a maximum of 30,000 points each year.

How do I transfer Wyndham Rewards Points to Caesars Rewards?

The easiest way to transfer your Wyndham Rewards points to Caesars Rewards credits and vice versa is to head over to this Caesars Rewards/ Wyndham Rewards partnership page and selecting the “Transfer My Points” Option. From there you’ll need to enter your Caesars Rewards Account number and select a quantity. You can transfer Wyndham Rewards to Caesars Rewards Points in increments of 10,000 points at a 1:1 ratio (up to 3 times.) (If you’re trying to transfer points to Wyndham Rewards it’s the same page and process.)

Alternatively, you can transfer points transfer to Caesars Rewards credits by signing into Wyndham Rewards and navigating to the rewards redemption page, selecting transfer points to partners and the Caesars Rewards option.

How Long Does the Transfer Take

Although the terms say that the transfer could take 6-8 weeks, it actually only took about 2 weeks for my points to show up in my Caesars Rewards Credits balance.

Thoughts: Wyndham Points Value When Transferred

This is one of the better redemption options available for Wyndham Rewards members to get maximum value from their points especially for anyone who did the Wyndham Diamond status match to Caesars Diamond status. You’d not only be getting one cent per point in value but they’re also gaining access to the Caesars Diamond Lounges which is not available for purchase. If you don’t have the points in your account, you cannot get into the lounges. Another question I get about this partnership is, can you use Wyndham points for hotels in Las Vegas. The answer is yes but there are quite a few ways so we’ll cover the details in a separate post.

Hi. Is there a way to get caesars to status match wyndham diamond without physically going to a caesars? I’ve already given her address when I registered her for a caesars account online, but I get a pop up message stating “To make changes to your contact or account information, please visit a Caesars Rewards Center near you.” Seems they will not complete my wife’s online status match without having a photocopy of her ID on file. The catch here is she cannot match Mlife to Caesars during our upcoming weekend getaway to Vegas, because updating to caesars diamond will not be instantaneious…. it will take a few business days to process., And it would then require a second trip to vegas to get Mlife match in person.. This is purely an assumption on my part based on my own personal experience.. Any additional insight appreciated. TIA, Steve

None as far as I know unless you’re matching from Wyndham, casino to casino requires you to go to the rewards desk.

Yes I have the same situation going on now. Waiting for transfer to Caesar’s Stopped at desk to see if they could facilitate faster. They could not. Said that was corporate. Stopped at MGM to ask how long for transfer as I would be diamond on next visit. Said had to do it in person and would take 7 to 10 business days.

No, you’ll first need Diamond Status and then you can access the lounges with points.

Other than lounge access why transfer Wyndham points to Caesars? I am not understanding what can be done with the points once they are in my Caesars account.

    Thanks!
    Stephan

Your instincts are good. You can use them for food and bev- but personally aside from Lounge access and the occasional Caesars charge I think the points are more valuable as Wyndham Rewards.

Does the once a year limit post when you request it or when it is completed? Wondering if I request one now, in late Dec, if it will be for this year or next.

[…] The status match gravy train has been going on for years and it’ll be interesting to see whether Wyndham brings back it’s match promotion. This is just a primer, over the next few weeks I will cover in detail how the status extensions have created some very lucrative opportunities and how to exploit them. Check out this post about transferring points between the programs.  […]
