MGM Rewards Credit Card
The brand new MGM Rewards Mastercard has a limited time, best ever sign up bonus of 25,000 Rewards Points for anyone who applies before April 7, 2022, gives you automatic MGM Pearl status and allows you to earn rewards points and tier credits to advance to higher MGM Rewards Tiers on all purchases made with the MGM Rewards credit card (formerly Mlife Credit Card). Purchases made with the MGM Rewards will earn both tier credits and points that can be used at MGM (Mlife) casinos and hotels worldwide. The Bougie Miles MGM Rewards Credit Card Review will cover the benefits, value and pros and cons of this no fee card issued by First Bankcard. One very interesting thing to note is that you have a choice as to how you use your rewards points earned on this card which you don’t have for regular Rewards Points- this card allows you to use rewards points for Slot Play- but MGM Rewards Points earned other avenues cannot be used as slot dollars and converted to free play- so it makes these points more flexible and as a result more valuable. If you want to read more about how the card actually works for users and how the rewards are deposited check out Adam’s (Travel Fanboy) very detailed post on his new site Cheapskate Vegas.
A new benefit of this card that was missing from the previous Mlife Rewards Mastercard is that cardmembers can earn Points and Tier Credits on any deposits made utilizing the MGM Rewards Mastercard in the BetMGM sports betting app. MGM Rewards Mastercard Points can be redeemed as payment for resort wide spend like rooms, dining and entertainment or as Slot Dollars.
Points and Tier Credits Bonus Earnings
- 3X points and tier credits per $1 spent at MGM Rewards destinations
- 2X points and tier credits per $1 spent on gas station and supermarket purchases.
- 1X points and tier credits per $1 spent everywhere else.
Sign-Up Bonus Value
The current sign-up bonus is 25,000 points after you spend $5,000 on the card in the first 6 billing cycles. This is worth approximately $250 so it’s about a 5% return on the required $5000 in spend.
How to Redeem MGM Rewards Mastercard Points
Rewards earned on the M life Mastercard can only be used at Mlife Properties so this could be a drawback for anyone who doesn’t travel to Mlife destinations, although it would be unlikely for those people to consider the co-branded credit card. They are worth $.01 each when redeemed.
Rewards Points (earned on gambling, all resort spend, online betting and the MGM Rewards Mastercard)
- Earn Points when playing your favorite slots or video poker machines, table games, sports betting, online gaming and purchases made at MGM Resorts destinations)
- Redeem your Points for hotel accommodations, dining, entertainment, MGM Rewards Moments and more at any MGM Rewards destination.
- Unlike the rewards points you earn for spend and certain types of play, the points earned via the credit card can be redeemed for slot dollars as well.
- Note: Free slot play is only available at the casino where you converted points to FREEPLAY

Is the MGM Rewards Credit Card (Mlife credit card) worth it?
The MGM Rewards MasterCard is a decent option for MGM Mlife fans if they’re looking for a fee free credit card with a few perks for casino visits and another way to earn tier credits towards tier level status. Free parking is probably the most valuable perk of this no annual fee card and access to priority check in at MGM Resorts is a close second. Anyone who has waited on a long line at Borgata, Bellagio and Aria knows how much time can be saved with this value added perk. Automatic Pearl status and bonus earning categories that can help you reach higher status levels can be helpful in certain circumstances. MGM Pearl status can also be matched to Hyatt Discoverist status.
World of Hyatt offers elite members a variety of benefits for stays at participating MGM resorts as well as well as matched status into MGM Rewards Tiers— but their co-branded credit card issued by Chase has an annual fee and may be unavailable to anyone who is over 5/24 so it may be a less attractive option for anyone who’s just looking for free parking.
Overall, no one is going to be blown away by this card but the benefits are generous as compared to other no fee cards and it’s always nice to have elite status without putting in any effort. One things that’s cool about this card is that the app not only has all of your account info but your Mlife loyalty account info as well.
M life casinos have MLife rewards desks on the casino floor where they can print you a card after you show them valid id. You can also ask the pit boss at certain table games to print one out for you.
