MGM Rewards Status Match

There’s another extension (through December 31, 2022) for the awesome MGM Rewards status match to MGM Gold or MGM Platinum status without having to go to Atlantic City- If you take advantage of this match you’ll have MGM Rewards status (and thereby World of Hyatt) through 2023! This is a really useful, cheap and widely available way to earn casino status as well as hotel status with World of Hyatt. All you have to do is complete the status match at any MGM casino by the end of 2022.

8/28/22 Check out this post if you plan on matching Hyatt and Mlife “How to Match Hyatt Status to MGM Rewards [2022] Step by Step.”

Must Read (UPDATED) 2022 MGM Mlife REWARDS GUIDE (EARNING AND REDEEMING TIER CREDITS, REWARDS CREDITS AND BENEFITS)

Status Match Opportunities are a popular topic since casino rewards programs offer a ton of ways for gamblers and non gamblers alike to get valuable perks and benefits without visiting Las Vegas or other popular gambling destinations. Casino status matching is generally made possible when a person who has one upper level elite hotel status leverages a status match promotion to Wyndham Diamond. Since Wyndham has discontinued it’s status match promotion from other hotels until further notice it’s been a bit trickier to earn status but still very possible as I recently covered extensively in this post: GUIDE: Casino Status Matching (Now that Wyndham Match is DEAD!).

To be clear, Wyndham and Caesars are partners and they continue to offer reciprocal status matches for members of the each-others programs. Well now the field is wide open for a whole bunch of status matches including Mlife, Hyatt, Caesars, Wyndham and more.

The M life Rewards Tiers Program Tier Match promo is available to all new and existing M life Program members through. mlife status match

Is MGM Rewards Status Worth it?

It’s not just about waived resort fees, free parking and skipping lines, the Mlife Platinum and Mlife Gold to Hyatt Explorist Match is a pretty significant benefit since it’s not easy to earn Explorist status. In this post: Cheap Caesars Diamond Status + Maximize Extensions & Reduced Qualifications  I detailed why I think it makes sense to go for higher Caesars Diamond Status with the reduced tier requirements and the ability to match to Mlife Platinum status only strengthens my argument.

Mlife Rewards has some interesting program quirks that make the value of each tier dependent on where you go since elite benefits and earnings differ depending on which MGM hotels you visit. For example, if you’re at Beau Rivage you get a monthly buffet credit upwards of $50 and at the Borgata in Atlantic City you earn express comps at table games but in Las Vegas comps are only earned on slots. They have a cool drop down menu here that will display benefits for each tier at each Mlife resort location.

2022 Caesars Rewards Guide (Plus Earning and Redeeming Tier Credits, Rewards Credits and Benefits)

Does MGM Rewards Do Status Match and Should You Do it? Yes, Here’s Why

The status match gravy train has been going on for years and the Wyndham and Caesars partnership has been extended through 2022 and the World of Hyatt and MGM Rewards status levels are good through 2023 so you’ll be able to keep Hyatt and Mlife each year by matching back and forth. This promo is pretty generous comparatively in that it allows existing members to match to higher tiers and it even allows you to re-match if you get a higher status with a different program after your status match- that’s a first.

Check out the “Bougie Miles MGM Rewards Guide” for all of the different ways you can earn Mlife Rewards Tier Credits for status and the difference between the three types of redeemable rewards known as Points, Express Comps and FreePlay.

Hi Bethany, I love your content and I’m watching all of your YouTube videos right now. I just wanted to leave a suggestion about possibly getting something like a lapel mic for your videos and podcasts. Sometimes it’s hard for me to hear what you’re saying because of the acoustics in your room and I think that getting a better mic would go a long way.

This is so helpful. Thank you! To take it up a notch, any idea if you might be able to match H globalist to ML gold? Then go to Vegas to match the gold to get C’s diamond and then go back to match the diamond to move ML up to platinum?

Hello, I’m sorry I love your article but was a bit confused. So it’s dec 2021 I have caesars Diamond. Can I match to mlife gold now and it will be valid for all 2022 which means I can go back to caesars in 2022 and match back to diamond ?

YOu can only match back to Caesars when you’re a new member-but you would have Mlife status through 2022. You can get Caesars other ways like Founderscard or Wyndham Diamond- so just make sure you match Wyndham back in January- does that make sense?

Hi there. So I have caesars diamond expiring at the end of this month. I just matched into Wyndham diamond today, 1/9/22. Wyndham – from my understanding – will allow me to rematch into CD whereas it’s normally one match per person. Do I do look into the rematch into CD before 1/31/22 or anytime after i.e. when I visit caesars in February? thanks!

If you go to my Caesars Rewards guide the link to the match page is in there- as soon as your Caesars status drops off you can submit the match again using your Wyndham status.

Not sure I am reading correctly. Did you get Wyndham Diamond from your Caesar Diamond?

Or did you Get Caesar Diamond from your Wyndham Diamond Card?

          Kindly Clarify…

Hi, two questions! 1 -what about after Jan 22? Will we still be able to match Ceasar’s Diamond to MLife gold after January?
All I really want is to be able to get the Hyatt Discoverist and this is the only path I can find to do that…
2 – Ceasars to MLife to Hyatt Discoverist s the path, right? Is there any other way you know of?

    Thanks!

    Hi Bethany,

I have Borgata Pearl but I’d like to status match my way to Gold. The only glitch is I had a card at Hard Rock from a couple of years ago and they’ll only tier match new customers.
I can’t seem to find the happy hour with Mark where you discuss the logistics of “forgetting” your casino loyalty account. Could you please steer me in the right direction? I’ll be in Atlantic City next week.

    Thanks !!!

I have recently acquired Diamond Status with Caesars. If I do a tier match and go to Gold at MGM, does this mean I start all over again with my status at Caesars? (go back down to gold)

Has it been announced if Caesars & Founders Card will still tier upgrade Caesars cards to Diamond for 2023?
Also has MGM announced they will tier upgrade from Caesars to MGM again in 2023?
Planning a trip and wondering when & where to plan for.
    Thanks

I have a caesars diamond elite. I went to Beau Rivage in Boloxi MS to get a tier match January 2, 2023 and was told that they don’t do that anymore. Then I went to the hosts at Beau Rivage and she called the rewards desk and was told the same thing. Has the policy changed???
